My name is Robert Brandt and I decided to establish The Law Firm of Robert S. Brandt in large part due to the experience that shaped me as a young child.

I was raised in New York City by a single father and attended Stony Brook University.

I moved to Richmond, Virginia to attend the University of Richmond Law School from which I graduated in 2000. 

I know from my own father’s struggle during a previous recession what it is like to endure the harassment of collection agencies and the stress of making ends meet.  I know what it is like to have exhausted your unemployment benefits, maxed out all credit cards, and to be on the brink of bankruptcy.  I have seen it firsthand.  For this reason, I have always wanted to practice in an area that would be beneficial to consumers.

Finally, the law requires bankruptcy attorneys working with consumers to identify themselves as a “debt relief agency.”
